The island of Gili Trawangan in Indonesia is renowned as one of the best spots to see reef sharks and turtles, so you can be sure you're guaranteed a good dive. As part of the Bali Diving Academy, Vila Ombak is a fully accredited, five-star dive centre, awarded the accolade of 'Outstanding Commitment for the PADI system of education.'
With easy access by boat to around 16 dive sites with spectacular marine life and colourful corals, a mere 20 minute boat ride can take you straight from the sandy beaches out to the clear and warm waters of the island and is perfect for experienced divers and complete beginners alike. As well as the regular daytime dives, they offer night dives with a chance for you to see the weird and wonderful underwater world after dark.
If the tanks and the deep dives send you into a panic, don't feel you have to miss out on the wonderful scenery. Why not try snorkelling along the coast instead? The much shallower water allows you to surface whenever you need to, you can set off straight from the beach and the divemasters are happy to guide you and answer any questions about your underwater encounters.
