Description
Upon arrival at Lombok Pottery Studio in the quiet village of Penujak, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a local family. The experience begins with a brief introduction to how coconuts are used in daily life by the Sasak people. Then, you’ll dive into the hands-on process: cracking open fresh coconuts, grating the flesh, and squeezing out coconut milk using traditional tools. At Lombok Pottery Studio, we use age-old methods to gently cook the coconut cream over fire until the oil separates naturally. As the mixture simmers, enjoy a local snack and stories from your hosts about village life and coconut traditions. You'll witness each stage closely, guided with care and warmth. Finally, you’ll bottle your very own handmade coconut oil to take home—a fragrant, meaningful souvenir made by you. This cultural workshop at Lombok Pottery Studio is a truly authentic and memorable experience for all ages.Includes
