Characterized by sandy beaches fringed with palm trees, they're known for their coral reefs just offshore. Around the Gilis is also common due to the abundance of marine life and coral formations. Most famous diving spots are Shark point, Manta point and Simon's reef. - At Gili Trawangan, the largest island, a sunken ship sits at Wreck Point near Mentigi Beach. - Gili Meno is renowned for its stunning beaches, which are often described as some of the most beautiful in Indonesia. The island's west coast is particularly famous for its powdery white sand and calm, shallow waters that are perfect for swimming. - Gili Air is a charming place and while it's much quieter than neighbouring Gili Trawangan, for a lot of people that's what they'd prefer. If you want quiet days on the beach, water sports, cold beer and amazing sunsets, you're going to find Gili Air is a great place to spend some time.
