Led by Robi, a local guide fluent in English with conversational French and German skills, this hands-on experience takes you deep into the heart of village life, far from the typical tourist trail. Begin your workshop by learning about the fascinating world of traditional Sasak coffee. Discover the rich story behind Lombok’s finest coffee beans and learn how local farmers have processed and roasted coffee for generations. Watch closely as the beans are roasted using traditional methods over an open fire, then take your turn grinding fresh roasted coffee using a traditional stone grinder — just as locals have done for centuries. Sit back, relax and enjoy a warm cup of pure handcrafted Lombok coffee surrounded by the sounds of tropical nature. This is not coffee from a café — this is coffee from the heart of Tetebatu. Next, discover the ancient art of making pure coconut oil by hand — a tradition deeply rooted in Sasak village culture. Watch and participate as fresh coconuts are cracked open, grated by hand and slowly cooked into pure golden coconut oil using methods unchanged for hundreds of years.
