Begin your day with a scenic 40-minute ferry ride through the Bay of Islands to the spectacular Otehei Bay, the gateway to an unforgettable kayaking adventure.
Led by experienced guides, navigate through hidden coves and secret bays, discovering remote beaches inaccessible by land. Paddle through pristine waters bordered by white sand beaches that are dotted along the coastline.
The crystal-clear waters reveal a vibrant ecosystem filled with life, and, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a majestic stingray gliding effortlessly beneath you.
Stop at one of the amazing beaches to discover the island. Gear up for snorkeling, take a refreshing swim, or follow the graceful dance and songs of Aotearoa’s unique bird life. Learn how local projects are working diligently to restore the island’s natural balance.
On your return to Otehei Bay, stop and meet the local snapper. Once back on shore, take some time to unwind before your return ferry home.

- Ferry departs Paihia at 8.30am or Russell at 8.40am
Return ferry departs Otehei Bay at 1.45pm, 4.15pm or 5.45pm
Kayaking is from 10am - 12.30pm
