Description
Get back to nature on a 2-day trek to the summit of Mount Rinjani and get stunning views from the highest point on Lombok island.
Day 1: Sembalun Village – Sembalun Crater Rim
Following an early morning pick-up from your hotel, travel to Sembalun village and register at the Rinjani Information Center. Trek to Pemantauan in the foothills of the volcano and rest at 1,300 meters above sea level. Continue upwards to Tengengean at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Make your way to Pada Balong to enjoy a 2-hour lunch break, before walking to the Sembalun Crater Rim to set up camp for the night at 2,639 meters above sea level.
Day 2: Sembalun Crater Rim – Summit – Sembalun Village
Start your ascent to the summit of the mountain before day breaks, or opt to stay at the crater rim and enjoy the sunrise at leisure. Walkers will depart early to arrive at the summit in time to see the sunrise from 3,726 meters above sea level. Trek back down to the crater rim in time for a hot breakfast. Continue to the village of Sembalun and stop for lunch in the pristine rainforest along the way. Transfer back to your hotel on arrival.

Important Information
- Due to predicted extreme weather, the hiking trails on Mount Rinjani will be officially closed until the end of March 2018
- You must have a good level of fitness and the ability to walk long distances to take part. People who suffer from mountain sickness or have height phobias are not allowed to join the tour
- The minimum age to take part is 10 years old
- You are recommended to bring trekking shoes, a thick coat or jacket, short pants for the natural sauna, small towels, a long life flash light (head lamp), any personal medicine, a digital camera and a handy cam
