Description

Meet your guide at Osaka Castle Park Station and begin your journey through the expansive Osaka Castle Park. Learn about the history of Osaka Castle, a key site in the unification of Japan, through the stories of three samurai: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Walk from the Aoya Gate to the main tower, stopping at the grand stone walls and the monuments of Toyotomi Hideyori and Yodo-dono. Capture memories with a photo in front of the main tower and enjoy the serene atmosphere of a hidden Japanese garden, perfect for more beautiful photos. Next, visit the park’s largest stone, the “Tako Stone,” and pay your respects at Toyokuni Shrine, dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Learn about the customs of shrine visits in Japan. After viewing the existing turret, leave Osaka Castle Park and take the subway to Shinsekai. In Shinsekai, stroll through the retro, lively streets centered around Tsutenkaku Tower. Admire the colorful signs and traditional shopping streets that blend old and new Osaka. While entry to the Tsutenkaku observation deck is not included, you can opt to visit it for an additional fee. Continue walking towards Nipponbashi, visiting Otaku Road, a hub for anime and game culture, and Doguyasuji, a street known for cooking tools and food samples used by professional chefs. Explore and shop for unique kitchenware and food samples, a specialty of Osaka, known as the “kitchen of the nation.” Finally, head to Dotonbori, where you can take photos in front of the iconic Glico sign and with Kuidaore Taro. The tour concludes in Dotonbori, with the option to arrange transportation back to your hotel.
